March 23 at the gallery pop / off / art exhibition opens Andrew Grositskogo

Surprisingly, «prop» - the first solo exhibition Grositskogo Gallery pop /off /art, which over the past years, was organized by the artist and his retrospective at the State Tretyakov Gallery (2007).

Grositsky - one of the most recognized masters of modern art, the creator of his own poetics of the beautiful things. Picture the world of things in his performance - a genre, just back from a classical still life and the «garbage» object collage, occupying a vast place in the history of modern art. Creativity Andrew Grositskogo sometimes identified with the «Russian pop-art». This assertion is debatable, but in his figure reflected the whole process of post-war domestic arts - from hobbies sezannizmom in the 1960's through the new corporeality to its own form of transmission of reality, which is an art critic Sergei Popov called «simulation realism». Despite the visual fidelity single line for several decades, each picture Grositskogo taken on a new, unexpected turns in his recognizable style as a whole and expect the viewer to the exhibition, which will be presented about a dozen large canvases years 2007-2009 and a number of chamber size .
