The painting "haystacks" by Claude Monet sold for $RB 110.7 million

This is a record price not only for painting by Monet, but also for all the Impressionists for public auction

This is one of the best works in the famous series of Monet landscape with haystacks and one of 8 works of the series still in private hands. The rest of the 17 paintings with haystacks sold around the world museums such as the Metropolitan, d'orsay, art Institute of Chicago and the Pushkin Museum named after Pushkin.
