central lots of upcoming Russian auction auction house Bonhams, which will be held in London on 28 November, will be a group of masterpieces from important European corporate collection. November 1 and 2 top lots will be on display in Moscow on the pre-sale exhibition, organized in the building fund "Russian cultural heritage." The work is presented in a European meeting in 1934 and the first time in a long time will be put up for auction. Paintings B. Makovsky , Vladimir V. D. Orlov , N. E. Sverchkova and P. P. Jogin are fine examples of Russian art school XIX century. Estimeyty the lots range from 50,000 to 2 million pounds.

monumental painting by Vladimir Makovsky "Fair (Little Russia)," 1885 is the most expensive of the lots (estimate 1,5-2 million pounds). Scenes from the Little Russian life have appeared in the works of Makovsky in the early 1880s, while the artist often traveled to the Ukraine to see the famous trade fairs. Farmers in festive clothes, endless rows of carts and wagons loaded with all sorts of goods, crowds of beggars and wanderers - all inspired by the artist and was reflected in numerous field sketches that had independent artistic value. This, probably, explains the almost complete absence of all currently known "big" fair V. Makovsky lifetime exhibition history. The only time all of their songs on the themes of Little Russian fairs, including the work presented at the auction, Vladimir Makovsky was able to show the solo exhibition in St. Petersburg in 1902. "Fair (Little Russia)" is designated as number 308 in the exhibition catalog. Makovsky at work on all the great paintings of the Little Russian series. The beginning of the road in the present study is slightly shifted to the right of center, visually disturbing the balance between the two groups of peasants seated, giving dynamic composition.

Donatovich Vladimir Orlovsky (1842-1914) is one of the most prominent Russian landscape painters of the last third of the academic areas XIX - early XX century, felt the impact of Shevchenko and Bogolyubov . Presented at the auction the work was created in the period of artistic maturity and most popular artist. Summer 1883 Orlovsky spent in Podolia and brought back a large number of landscape studies, which were further processed into a picture. In the "Album of Russian painting. Paintings VD Orlov "(St. Petersburg, 1888), published for the 25th anniversary of the painter's art, reproduced several paintings in this series. Among them are "dry bed" (1884), "In meadow thickets" (1886) and "Gnilitsa River" (1885) - in which you can see the picture presented in the auction (№ 20).
