Artists worse than anyone else, feel another's pain, and today they handed us the gift of their work to draw attention to the needs of terminally ill people. This auction - the first serious attempt to raise money for dying patients, but not the first time that artists consider their duty to help the dying: the First Moscow Hospice at different times for the patients played by such musicians as Mstislav Rostropovich, Natalia Gutman, Eliso Virsaladze, Theodore Kurentzis.

All the money obtained at the auction will be listed in the Foundation for Hospice «Faith», created in late 2006. The main objective of the Fund - financial support for the First Moscow Hospice, opened in 1992.

First Moscow Hospice - free budgetary institution, which already has 15 years of specialized medical, social, psychological, spiritual and legal assistance to incurable oncology patients and their families in times of illness, both before and after the loss of loved ones. In Moscow alone die from cancer every year 23 thousand people, more than 50 thousand are in need of hospice care. First Moscow Hospice serves about three thousand of these patients per year.

Construction of hospice in Moscow was initiated by Yuri Mikhailovich Luzhkov.

auction organizers believe that such activities should be regular, not only to raise funds for hospice, but also to raise public awareness of the role of hospices. The need to give warmth and support for the most vulnerable of today's medicine to patients - those who are terminally ill. For those who have no hope, but still have life.
