He came to the U.S. in 1981, in the early 1990's sold his works on the streets of Manhattan, where he eventually have noticed friend and business partner Rosales Jose Carlos Bergantinos Diaz (Jose Carlos Bergantiños Diaz). He offered him to write in the style of famous artists. Pei Shen Qian, who took some courses of painting, drawing and lithography at the school of art in Manhattan, agreed. For every fake he got a little bit: according to the investigation, one picture in 2005, the Chinese has paid 5,4 thousand dollars, the other in December of the same year the artist was saved 7 thousand dollars.
