National Center for Contemporary Art has begun to accept electronic applications for participation in the VI All-Russian competition in the field of contemporary visual art "Innovation"

competition is held in five categories:
- product visual art;
- curatorial project;
- theory, criticism, art studies;
- regional project of modern art;
- New Generation (for artists under 35 years).
meeting of the Expert Council will be held in February 2011. The exhibition of nominees of the contest, the jury meeting and award ceremony of the contest will be held in April 2011.
the competition are accepted works and projects developed and implemented from January to December 2010 inclusive.
In these competitive awards are considered the work and projects of the authors who live and work in Russia, as well as joint projects of Russian and foreign authors.
In the category "product visual art "are not considered personal exhibitions, if they are not the total installation.
right to nominate authors and works for the competition belongs to:
- Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation;
- executive authority in the field of culture of the Russian Federation;
- creative unions, associations or other nonprofit cultural organizations, regardless of their organizational and legal forms, including voluntary organizations, specializing in contemporary art, as well as members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury and the Expert Council.
authors may not be nominated for the award posthumously, with the exception of authors who died in the year, which resulted in the Competition, and participated in the implementation of the nominated project.
