10 million pounds to save masterpiece by Titian

London National Gallery and the National Gallery of Scotland need until the end of this year to purchase the canvas «Diana and Acteon », which was exhibited in Edinburgh. Otherwise it will be sold to private buyers. If the two museums will be able to joint efforts to collect 50 million pounds and buy a picture - one of the two masterpieces of the XVI century, written Titsianom for the Spanish King Philip II, - they will be allowed until 2012 to purchase the same amount for a second job, «Diana and Callisto ».
