It was in his gallery of Saint-Laurent and Berger bought the work in 1984.
In the second place in the list of the most expensive lots - picture of Frans Hals (Frans Hals) «Portrait of a man holding a book», which has 3.5 million euro (4.6 million dollars) at estimeyte 0,8 -- 1,2 million Euro.

Immediately after the auction works of old masters and artists of the XIX century the auction, which were presented to various gold and silver and miniatures. Here, too many items are much higher than estimeyty. The most expensive lot was a fourth cup of gilded silver, made in the middle of XVII century German master Uderom Christoph (Christoph Uder). It has 853 thousand euros (1.1 million dollars) at estimeyte 100-150 thousand euro (!). A similar cup, but a triple is in the collections of the Moscow Armory.
Another object of gilded silver, armillyarnaya area which supports a silver figurine god Chronos, was sold for 781 thousand euros (1 million dollars), with preliminary estimates of 200-300 thousand euros. A fountain of the same materials, which pour the wine or rose water, went for 721 thousand euros (933 thousand dollars), although estimeyt it was only 150-200 thousand euro.

But the most dramatic results at Christie's yesterday's picture did not belong, or silver, but ... the seat! At six pm the auction, which could buy the furniture from the collections of Saint Laurent and Berger. «Armchair with dragons» the work of famous designer Eileen Gray (Eileen Gray) was estimated at 2-3 million euros, and brought the whole 22 million euros (28.3 million dollars)! It was the most expensive work of Eileen Gray, and also the most expensive of the XX century furniture ever sold at auction. The previous record belonged to the work table by Carlo Mollino (Carlo Mollino), which was sold in 2005 at Christie's yesterday for the modest standards of 3.8 million dollars. Moreover, Gray won the second seat row in the list of the most expensive pieces of furniture in the world. First place in this ranking is the desk bureau XVIII century Badminton Cabinet, which had lasted at Christie's in 2004 for 36.7 million dollars. Thanks to record sales yesterday's auction of furniture chairs far exceeded estimeyt in 19-28,3 million euros.
