From a family of fireman. In 1925-1941 regularly went to her trips to the North — in Arkhangelsk, Karelia, Murmansk region, Kola Peninsula; he drew a series of sketches of "a Trip to the North." In 1932 as part of a team of artists worked on the plant Chusovoy in the Urals. In 1934, together with Б. В. Иогансоном completed in Crimea diorama "crossing the siwash". In 1937-1938 went to the sea of Azov.

Exhibited: "Socialist construction in Soviet art" (1930), all-Union art exhibitions (1939 — "industry of socialism", 1943 — "Heroic front and rear", 1947, 1949, 1950, 1955), "the Landscape of our country" (1942), in Moscow, "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" in Leningrad and Moscow (1932-1933), "XV years of the red army" in Leningrad (1934), exhibitions-отчетах 1-й Ural team of artists working on the new buildings of the Urals and the Kuznetsk basin in Sverdlovsk (1932) and Moscow (1934) and many others. Participant of several exhibitions abroad: exhibition AHR in Cologne (1929), Soviet art in Koenigsberg (1932), the world exhibition in new-Йорке (1939) and Brussels (1958).

Held an exhibition "the Arctic circle" (1932; together with М. М. Беринговым) in Moscow, participated in the exhibition of works by three artists (П. Д. Корин, В. В. Крайнев, М. Д. Рындзюнская) in the State Tretyakov gallery (1934).
