GHANAIAN Biryukov

From a noble family. He graduated from Yelizavetgrad real school. Was in the Imperial Academy of arts as a student volnoslushayuschego (1885-1889);, while engaged at the Academy of fine arts and private studios of Paris.

Lived in Odessa, often went to France. He painted portraits, landscapes, genre scenes. Author paintings: "waiting for the catch" (1893), "low Tide" (1895), "the Coast at Yalta" (1897), "Smokers" (1899), "Cafe in Paris" (1902), "Game of skittles" (1908), "the Beach at Biarritz" (1911), "At Capri" (1915), "town on the sea" (1916), "the Laundress" (1918) and others.

From 1890 — participated in exhibitions. A member and Exhibitor of the society of South Russian artists (1893-1919, with breaks;, a member of the Association from 1894). Participated in academic exhibitions in St. Petersburg (1896, 1901, 1908), Moscow society of art lovers (1897), Society of independent artists in Odessa (1917), in the salons of French artists (1900-1904) and Independent (1910-1914) in Paris.

In 1919 he emigrated and settled in France. Since 1921 he lectured in Russian Society-французской of friendship, took part in religious meetings-нравственного mug under the guidance of father Nicholas Sakharov (1922). Collaborated in the journal Etudes. In 1928 he was ordained a Catholic priest, but continued painting. In 1937 and 1939 donated his paintings for charity lotteries conducted during the traditional balls of the Moscow community in Paris.

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including at the Odessa art Museum.
