From the family of district clerk. He graduated from City College. Original art education in the icon workshop. Studied at the Odessa art school (1898-1908) Л. Иорини, К. К. Костанди, Г. А. Ладыженского in the Higher art school of painting, sculpture and architecture under the Imperial Academy of arts (1905-1906) В. Е. Савинского, Я. Ф. Ционглинского.

Lived in Odessa and Kiev. He painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes. Author of painting works: "the Sitter (Head working)" (1906), "Winter", "the veiled Woman" (1911), "Pristan in Kherson" (1924), "Autumn", "On the Dnieper", "the Meeting of the workers of Odessa by the red Army in 1919 году" (early 1930-х); portraits: collector М. Б. Брайкевича (1918), Professor М. К. Лысенкова (1922), singer Arles-Тиц (1926), a series of self-portraits and other.

From 1904 — participated in exhibitions. A member and Exhibitor of the society of South Russian artists (1907-1914, 1917-1919), the Art society to them. К. К. Костанди (1922-1929). Also participated in the Spring exhibitions in the halls of IAH in St. Petersburg — Petrograd (1908, 1916), all-Ukrainian jubilee exhibition in Kiev (1927), 2-й all-Ukrainian art exhibition Narcompros USSR (1929), 1-й exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculptures of artists of Odessa (1934) in Odessa, the exhibition of art of the Soviet Ukraine in Kharkov (1930) and others.
