from the worker's family. From 1898, he attended evening drawing courses Society for the Encouragement of Arts. He studied at the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at IAH (1901-1909) in the workshop of Vladimir Makovsky. In 1909, for the painting "Eve" was the title of the artist and the right of a pensioner's trip abroad. In 1910 - retired IAH.

lived in St. Petersburg (Petrograd, Leningrad) and the Urals. He painted pictures on the historical and social subjects, landscapes, portraits. He taught at art schools and studios in the Nizhny Tagil and Upper Salda (1919-1921), Art-Industrial College of the Leningrad Higher Art - Vhuteine (1921-1929). In the late 1920's - early 1930's has taken a number of creative assignments to the factories and farms in the Urals. In 1953 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.

From 1897 - participant of exhibitions. Member and exhibitor of the Society of Artists. AIKuindzhi (1918, 1929-1930), AHRR (1924-1928). Exhibited his works at the autumn exhibitions in the halls of IAH, exhibitions TPHV (1910), the Community of Artists (1921). Participated in the 1-st state of free art exhibitions (1919), exhibition of artists in all areas of Petrograd (1923), the Jubilee Exhibition of Fine Arts (1927), a citywide exhibition of Fine Arts (1930), the exhibition "Artists of the RSFSR XV years (1932 -- 1933) in Petrograd (Leningrad), "Red Army" (1923) in Moscow, a traveling exhibition of Soviet art in Japan (1926-1927) and others. Since 1932 - Member of the USSR Union of Artists.

Kuznetsova works are in many museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, State Museum of History of Religion and others.
