born in the family controlling the property of Count Stroganov Nizhny Novgorod. After his father's death in 1884 lived in Khvalynskoye Saratov province, from 1886 - in Moscow. He studied at the four-year college in Khvalynskoye.

Systematic arts education is not received. Studied drawing in 2-nd Moscow gymnasium, in 1891 for the drawing from the head of Mercury was awarded the commendation of the IAH. He studied at the medical faculty of Moscow University (1894-1898); in 1899 was promoted to the district doctor. He continued his education in the Forestry Institute (1900-1901). At the same time in late 1890 - early 1900's as an auditor attended classes MUZHVZ, where he worked in the studio Korovin and Valentin Serov.

in 1897 as a medical student involved in a scientific expedition of the Moscow University on the New Earth, in 1900-s went to the Volga city, was in the Urals, on the Kama River, in the Crimea and the Caucasus. In 1910-s traveled to Africa, visited France.

worked in Moscow in the region of Klina. He painted landscapes, portraits, studied photography and arts and crafts, went through a fascination with Impressionism. The designer was the People's House, based ST Morozov in Orekhovo-(1910-1912).

From 1897 - participant of exhibitions. Member and exhibitor of the Moscow Society of Lovers of Fine Arts (1897-1901, member since 1902, from 1903 - Secretary). Participated in exhibitions TPHV (1903-1912, with interruptions), the Moscow Association of Artists (1903, 1907, 1915), a group of "Independent" (1907), exhibitions of watercolors, drawings and graphics of Russian Artists (1914), paintings by Russian and foreign artists in Salon Arts "Unicorn" (1916), "Moscow theater decade of October" (1928) in Moscow.

In 1923-1926 he taught drawing and painting in Moscow schools. In 1926-1930 worked as an artist and SANPROSVET Uchpedgiz.

Pischalkina works are in several museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery.
