he Studied at the Odessa art school (he graduated in 1909), the Higher art school of painting, sculpture and architecture under the Imperial Academy of arts (1909-1916) in the Studio В. Е. Маковского. In 1916, for the painting "Fair" received the title of artist. A student collaborated in the magazine "Art for all".

he Lived in Tula and Believe (1918-1930), Leningrad (1930 and 1940), Moscow (1940-1957). In 1918 — Belevsky, the head of the Proletkult. Participated in the creation of the Palace of arts in Beleve, where he led one of the art studios; among students — Н. П. Ходасевич (Leger). In 1919-1925 — headed the Department of subprior in Tula gubernia Department of public education. Participated in the post-war reconstruction "the Academic dacha" in the Tver region, in particular, advocated the need for government funding of "Giving". In 1945-1949 — chaired the Board of Vsekohudozhnik.

he Worked primarily as a genre painter, landscape painter. Author of painting works: "In mansions with barin" (1912), "master porch" (1914), "lilac" (1915), "On the job" (1917), "guest" (1917), "Women on the river" (1918), "Cyclists" (1935), "Summer" (1936), "В. И. Ленин 1-й all-Russian conference of front and rear military organizations of the RSDLP (Bolshevik) in 1917 году" (1937), "Lunch break", "Spring road" (both — 1939) and others.

From 1911 — participant of exhibitions (22-я exhibition of the society of South Russian artists in Odessa). Exhibited at reporting, spring and fall academic exhibitions (1912-1917), 1-й the exhibition of paintings "Community of artists" (1917), TPHV (1918) in St. Petersburg (Petrograd), exhibition of works by Moscow and Leningrad artists (1937), the all-Union exhibition "industry of socialism" (1939) in Moscow, Leningrad and other.

he Taught at the Moscow art-промышленном school. М. И. Калинина (1951-1957).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including the State Museum of political history of Russia in St. Petersburg.
