Biographical details are scarce. According to some reports, in 1907-1910 he studied at the Kiev Art School. He studied at the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at IAH in a class of landscape painting in N. Dubovsky (1910/1911-1916), graduated with the title of the artist.

In the first years after the revolution, wrote in the main landscape sketches.

From 1920 he lived in Uzbekistan. He worked as a landscape painter, created the paintings on the theme of Soviet life and industrialization. In 1926 was one of the organizers of the Tashkent branch of AHRR (lasted until April 1930), together with I. Kazakov and AN Rykov taught in the studio, which opened at the Tashkent branch of the AHRR. In the late 1930's - early 1940's, visited the construction of the Great Fergana Canal.
