he Studied at the Higher art school of painting, sculpture and architecture under the Imperial Academy of arts (1909-1917 (?)) as a volunteer at the workshop Н. С. Самокиша.

he Lived in Petrograd — Leningrad. Worked as a genre painter, landscape painter, portraitist; performed songs on historical subjects. In 1910-е created the painting "Overgrown pond", "Weaver", "window", "Night in Ukraine", "Sunny day", "Fight the Russians with the Tatars. XIII century (the heroes Battle with the Tatars)", "portrait of the artist Г. А. Ладыженского". After the revolution, turned to themes of Soviet life and industrialization ("the Portrait of the red Director", "Striker", "Komsomol").

From 1908 — participated in exhibitions. Exhibited at the Spring exhibitions in the halls of the Imperial Academy of arts (1915-1917), Association of artists (1916), Community of artists (1917), AHRR (1924, 1926), society of artists to them. А. И. Куинджи (1926, 1928 to 1930), the jubilee exhibition of fine arts (1927), Autumn exhibition of Leningrad artists (1936) in Leningrad, Moscow and other.

Works are in several Museum collections.
