Graphic artist, painter, sculptor

studied at the Central Stroganov School of Technical Drawing (central Stroganov School of Industrial Art) in Moscow (1903-1916), first in the sculpture class in 1909 - in a graphic studio SS ; Goloushev's (S. Glagol).

lived in Moscow. Engaged easel and book graphics, acted book illustrations, screen savers, drop cap, developed projects exlibris. Many worked in the techniques of woodcuts, linocuts, watercolors, gouaches, pastels. A series of architectural forms of Moscow and Petrograd (1911-1914; color linocut), a series of drawings with views of Feodosia (the beginning of 1920, watercolor, gouache, tempera). Collaborated in the State Publishing House, Publishing House Academia, and others. Created illustrations for the book "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy (1930-1932), "Tales of Belkin Pushkin (second half of 1930)," Humpbacked Horse "P . Ershov, "Dombey and Son Charles Dickens," Confessions "Rousseau and many others.

Participated in exhibitions of the Union leaders of Applied Arts and Artistic Industry (1919), the Moscow Association of Artists (1922), the society "Fire-Color" (1924-1926), "The engraving of the USSR for 10 years" ( 1927), "Color woodcut. Her techniques and opportunities "(1929) in Moscow, ex-librist society (" Russian bookplate in the engraving, 1925, 1926), "Russian woodcarving for 10 years" (1927), "Art ex libris" (1928) in Leningrad, the Jubilee exhibition "Artists of the RSFSR XV years" in Leningrad and Moscow (1932-1934) and others.

taught at typesetting, typography, typographic printing department (graphic-printed) Faculty Higher Art - Vhuteina (1921-1930). As a teacher and artist has had a significant impact on the development of Soviet art of printing (along with VA Favorsky).

Piskareva works are in many museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin and others.
