From the employer's family. He studied at the Kiev Art School (1909-1914). In 1914-1917 attended the private studio of Leonid Pasternak in Moscow, and Alexander E. Yakovlev in Petrograd. In 1930 several times worked as a cinema artist. As the artist worked at the Polytechnic Museum (first half of 1930) and VSHV in Moscow (1936-1941). In 1933, created the painting "Capitalist Paradise" to the main hall of the Museum of Labor.
