he Studied at the Drawing school of the Society for the encouragement of artists (1890-е). Lived in St. Petersburg (Petrograd, Leningrad). Painted genre compositions, landscapes; worked a lot in watercolors. The author works: "At the door", "On the waterfront" (both — 1906), "Friends" (1909), "Mushroom", "On the street" (both — 1912), "Playing skittles", "Winter in the village" (both — 1914), "the Return from the wires of the son," "the ruined home" (both — 1915), "the Fontanka river" (1923)"Neva river" (1926), "Early morning in the city" (1929); series "Pavlovsk" (mid 1920-х). The work was published in magazine "Niva" (from 1907), postcards publishing Richard in St. Petersburg.

From 1906 — participated in exhibitions. A member and Exhibitor: the Society of Russian watercolorists (1914-1918), the Petrograd society of artists (1914, 1915, 1917, 1918), Association of artists (1916, 1922-1923), society of artists-индивидуалистов (1926-1929), society of artists to them. А. И. Куинджи (1930). Participated in the Autumn exhibitions of paintings (1906-1909, 1911, 1912, 1914), 8-й the Autumn exhibition of paintings old and new school (1913), a Patriotic exhibition "the War" (1915), Petrograd artists of all directions (1923), exhibition of works of artists of Lenisa involved in circles of further education (1938) in St. Petersburg (Petrograd, Leningrad); 1-й Nizhny Novgorod art exhibition of paintings and old things (1907); "worker and peasant in pre-revolutionary and Soviet art" in Samara (1930).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — Samara regional art Museum, Sevastopol art Museum n. a. М. П. Крошицкого and others.
