studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan G. Migliaro and E. Corrodi. In 1839 came to Russia, where he served as a teacher of drawing at the Princes Gagarin. His work attracted the attention of Emperor Nicholas I. On the orders of the Imperial Court complied with the types of watercolor pavilions "Ozerki in Alexandria (1850), Kronstadt military installations (1850), halls of the New Hermitage (1851).

In 1851 it was recognized as "designated" in academics with the program for the title of academician "to write an internal view of the Church Horse Guards regiment. In 1854 he was elected an academician of the "internal Chinese rooms in the old palace of the Tsar's village", presented at the exhibition of the same academic year. In 1861 awarded the title of professor of perspective and watercolor painting. Had a lot of orders from members of the imperial family and the aristocratic families of Russia.

From 1860 the summer months he lived and worked in the Crimea, created from nature landscapes Livadia Alupka, Massandra, Bakhchisaray, Alushta, Sevastopol. Many traveled repeatedly visited Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Finland, Estonia, in the Caucasus.

In 1865-1867 he taught at the Institute Pavlovsky, in 1870-1873 - in the IAH in St. Petersburg in 1870 - at the School of Technical Drawing of Baron Alexander Stieglitz. Among his pupils - Alb. H. Benoit, M. J. Willie, and others. He gave private lessons, including the Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna.

In 1877-1879 held solo exhibitions in the house of the Ministry of State Property in St. Petersburg and London.

In 1880 he became one of the initiators of the mug Russian watercolors (from 1887 - the Society of Russian watercolors), participated in exhibitions of the Society.

died during the journey to Constantinople. He was buried in a Catholic cemetery in the Vyborg in St. Petersburg (reburied in 1939 in the necropolis of artists Alexander Nevsky Lavra).

In 1996, the State Hermitage Museum held a retrospective exhibition of works by the artist.

Premazzi - one of the leading masters of perspective painting in Russia in the middle - second half of the XIX century, who owned a virtuoso technical abilities watercolors. His most famous works with the image of the palace and the mansion interiors, characterized by detailed and well conceived almost photographic precision images.
