he Studied at the Odessa art College (1909-1913) К. К. Костанди; in VKhUTEMAS in Moscow (1922-1924) В. А. Фаворского.

he Lived in Moscow. Performed thematic compositions, portraits, landscapes. Many worked in the techniques of drawing, colour woodcuts and color linocuts. Author paintings: "Girl", "Portrait", "Windy", "Musician", "Summer", "Mother and child", "At the stove" (all — 1910-е), "the Boys" (1919, tempera), "career" (1932), "the Moulders" (1933); woodcuts: "Industrial landscape" (1932), "Clock factory" (1933), "Individual farmers", "State farm dairy" (all — 1930-е); of linocuts, "In the village" (1936), "the mill", "grind" (1930-е).

From 1915 — participated in exhibitions. A member and Exhibitor of the society of South Russian artists (1915-1919), the group "United arts" (1925). Participated in exhibitions: 1-й national exhibition of paintings, posters and children's art in Odessa (1919); 1-й the exhibition society "the Union of Soviet artists" (1931), "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years. Graphics" (1933), the all-Union exhibition of young artists dedicated to the 20-летию the Komsomol (1939), the all-Union exhibition "the Great Patriotic war" (1942-1943) in Moscow; "Artists of Siberia in the days of the great Patriotic war" in Novosibirsk (1942).

the Author benefits: "the Technology of letterpress printing: a manual for technical schools" (M., 1947), "four-Color printing: manual printing for art schools" (M., 1955).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — smfa. А. С. Пушкина, the State literary Museum and others.
