he Graduated from the Academy of arts in Amsterdam (1911). Lived in St. Petersburg (Petrograd; until 1919), Chisinau (1919-1941), Bucharest (1943). Was married to the painter Л. И. Балльер-Арионеску.

In the late 1900-х became friendly with the futurist — Н. И. Кульбиным, Д. Д. Бурлюком, Е. Н. Гуро and others. Created landscapes, still lifes, portraits, genre and historical compositions. Created a series of picturesque views of St. Petersburg (1906), Holland (1906, 1908, 1909), Finland (1911); easel painting "portrait of the daughter with a doll" (1921), "Tulcea", "Girl" (1941, tempera), "Peter the great in Holland" (1942), "Bucharest" (1948, tempera), "Haji-Мурат" (1953, pastel), "Sinai. Landscape" (1959, tempera).

Participated in the edition of the collection "Studio of Impressionists" (St. Petersburg, 1910) edited by Н. И. Кульбина, the preparation of the anthology "the youth Union" (St. Petersburg, 1913, No. 3), for which he wrote the article "the everyday Apollo and Apollo black".

From 1903 — participant of exhibitions ("Blanc et noir" in St. Petersburg). Exhibitor associations: "Triangle" (1910), "Union of youth" (1911) in St. Petersburg; "Free art" in Moscow (1915). Participated in the Autumn exhibitions of paintings (1906, 1907), "the Impressionists" (1909), "Permanent exhibition of contemporary art" (1913) in St. Petersburg; 1-й Bessarabian exhibition of painting and sculpture and works of George Pozhedaeva (1920-1921) in Bucharest. Member and permanent Exhibitor of the Bessarabian society of fine arts (1920-30-е), one of the founders of the Society drama Studio (1932).

he Taught at the Chisinau art College (1919-1941); among students Л. П. Григорашенко. The first Director of the Kishinev art gallery (1939-1941). Artist-декоратор Moldovan musical-драматического theatre (1930-е).
