Since the early 1880's as a "foreign" students attended classes IAH. For student work often celebrated with medals: in 1882, 1884 and 1885 - small silver in 1883 - a large silver in 1886 - a small gold for the painting "The episode of the Battle of Ostrołęka in 1831," in 1887 - a large gold for the program "Attack of Lubenskiy hussars Circassians in the village Haydarskoy campaign in 1877.
