Olga was brought up in an orphanage (1888-1889); graduated from an urban primary school in Moscow (1883). Attended classes in private engraving shop Charles Richau in Moscow (1883-1886). He studied in St. Petersburg at the Central school of technical drawing of Baron А. Л. Штиглица (1891-1892) В. В. Матэ, the Drawing school Society for the encouragement of arts (1890-е) Г. В. Гогенфельдена.

he Lived in St. Petersburg from 1904 — in Moscow. 1890-х worked in the field of engravings in the technique of woodcuts tone. Completed prints from paintings В. Е. Маковского — "In the tavern", "the Collapse of the Bank" (both — 1891, 1-я award OPH), "Fisherwomen", "restaurant", "Porter" (all — 1893), "Policy", "Kvasnik" (both — 1894), "Tolkuchoho market in Moscow", "Prevented" (both — 1895); А. Е. Архипова — "Girlfriends" (1891, 1-я award OPH). Engraved on the painting original and drawings И. Е. Репина, Н А. Ярошенко, В. И. Сурикова, В. М. Васнецова, И. М. Прянишникова, А. П. Рябушкина.

As an Illustrator he collaborated with the magazines "Niva", "Pictorial review", "North".

In the early 1900-х focused on creating original easel prints. Landscape painter, portraitist. Released albums of wood engravings and linocuts: "Leaving Russia" (1914), "Leaving Moscow (Moscow courtyards)" (1915), "Old provinces" (1916), "Ostankino" (1917), "Moscow courtyards" (1918), "the Volga river near Yaroslavl" (1920), "the Corners of Moscow" (1921), "Landscape in the color woodcuts" (1923), "Old Moscow" (1924), "Baku" (1936), "Stalino" (1936), "Astrakhan" (1937), "Old Moscow" (1944-1947, 800-летию of Moscow). Engaged in the creation of book characters.

Participated in the activities of the Association of artists of applied arts and artistic industry (1919), the Leningrad society exlibrises (1925-1928), the Association of artists-графиков at the Printing House in Moscow (1927); member AHRR — akhr (1925-1932).

Winner of the Stalin (State) prize (1943; for many years of outstanding achievements in the field of literature and art). The author of the memoirs: Pavlov И. Н. Жизнь Russian engraver (М.-Л., 1940; reissue — M., 1963); textbook "the Technique of engraving on wood and linoleum" (Wiley, 1938; reissue — M., 1952; together with М. В. Моториным).

he was Buried at Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow.

a Retrospective exhibition was held in Moscow (1958).

Work is represented in major Museum collections, among them — of the State Tretyakov gallery, the Pushkin Museum im. А. С. Пушкина State Russian Museum and others.
