St. Petersburg society of artists "Union of youth" — the first officially registered Association of artists of the Russian avant-garde. It legalized their existence 16 February 1910, ahead of the Moscow "Jack of diamonds". Despite the exceptional contribution of the "Union of youth" in the formation of the Russian avant-garde, still there was not a single exhibition dedicated to the first avant-garde Union of Russia. "Union of youth" was originally open to all stylistic innovations: it was conceived as a total project, consolidating the young non-academic artists. Its authors was a patron of L. Zheverzheev, painter, graphic artist, theatre artist I. Shkolnik (the permanent Secretary of the society), E. Spandikov (Chairman), schedule B. Bystrenin, painters C. Schleifer, M. Matushin, E. Guro, Z. Mostov, N. Lyubavina, sculptor R. Warriors.

the Russian Museum has the most representative collection of works by artists — members and exhibitors of the "Union of youth". The exhibition displays about 200 exhibits (painting, graphics, scenography projects, as well as posters and archival material) from the collections of the Russian Museum, St.-Петербургского Museum of theatrical and musical art, the State art Museum of Latvia, National gallery of Armenia, Yekaterinburg Museum of fine arts, Ulyanovsk regional art Museum, State Museum of V. V. Mayakovsky, the State literary Museum, Omsk Museum of fine arts named after M. A. Vrubel, Yaroslavl art Museum and private collections.
