Exhibition of the State Museum of history of Russian literature of a name of V. I. dal "Benedict Erofeev — "Moscow — cocks" — artist Kirill Mamonov" is more than thirty graphic works and paintings made in the years 2013-2019 based on the poem by the artist Kirill Mamonov Serafimovich.

Venedikt Erofeev (1938-1990)

a Poem in prose "Moscow — cocks" — is one of the most significant works of Russian literature of the second half of the twentieth century — was written in the fall of 1969 and for several years existed in samizdat. The first publication was made in the Israeli magazine "AMI" in 1973, following — in 1977 in Paris. Only in the perestroika years, the poem was published in the USSR: first in the magazine "Soberness and culture", and later in the literary almanac Vest', and finally in 1989 the publishing house "Prometheus". Since then, the poem "Moscow — Petushki" was reprinted many times, was translated into many languages. Today this work is considered classics of Russian culture.

Kirill Mamonov Serafimovich (1937)

was Born in Moscow. In 1966 graduated from the faculty of arts and-технического design of printed materials of the Moscow polygraphic Institute. His teacher was A. D. Goncharov. Since 1961, the participant of many exhibitions.

Works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov gallery, State Russian Museum, State Museum of fine arts named after A. S. Pushkin and in museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
