Exhibition of the "Ludwig Museum" opened in Moscow

In 1994, legendary collectors Peter and Irene Ludwig donated to the Russian Museum collection of works of outstanding artists of the second half of the twentieth century. This gift became the basis of the permanent exhibition "Museum Ludwig in the Russian Museum", which opened to the public on March 10, 1995 in the halls of the Marble Palace. According to the agreement, the new institution was granted the status of "Museum in the Museum". The exhibition "Museum Ludwig in the Russian Museum" today is the only major collection of modern art works from the postwar period until the early twenty-first century. In the collection of the Ludwig Museum also includes works by the stars of Russian contemporary art.
