Exhibition of sculptures by Artemiy Ober opens in the Russian Museum
This is the first monographic exhibition of one of the greatest Russian sculptors-анималистов last quarter of the XIX — beginning of the XX century
the Exhibition "Artemiy Ober. 1843-1917. 100-летию from the date of death" will present the exclusive complete collection of the works of this master, acquired by the Russian Museum in 1935, his widow N. F. Aubert, as well as works from other collections. Unique wax and terracotta sketches, cast in bronze sculpture, medals, vases and pictures will be ambitious and meaningful exposition with total of 87 items. Friend A. N. Benois and K. A. Somov, an active member of society "World of art", A. L. Ober was depicted in many sketches of these artists, the most interesting of which are included in the exhibition.
