Yakov Chernikhov (1889-1951) — architect, graphic and pedagogue, outstanding representative of architectural futurology Russia early Soviet period. Their best graphic compositions he combined the three books of architectural fantasies, published in Leningrad at the turn of 1920-30-х years. Unique in character and beauty, these publications brought him international fame and determined Chernikhov reputation as a brilliant composer of modern architecture.

Chernikhov Addiction to handmade graphic art was based on its belief that graphical literacy is not less important than writing.
