Graphics of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt driven in the Pushkin Museum

The exhibition in the Pushkin Museum will come sketches of distinguished Austrian artists from the Albertina Museum in Vienna. Viewers will be able to see the exhibition in October 2017

From the collection of the Albertina Museum (Vienna) in Moscow on Volkhonka will bring 120 drawings of the classics of Austrian art: Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) and Egon Schiele (1890-1918). It is reported that the exhibition will complement the graphic works of another very expressive Austrian — Alfred Kubin (1877-1959), author of the recognizable phantasmagorias.

Except that all three worked about the same time, these Austrian artists brings together the highest creative courage, naturalism, a willingness to challenge public taste. Many of their works made about 100 years ago, even today it is in tune with the problems being addressed by contemporary art.

From the Pushkin Museum. Of A. S. Pushkin the exhibition is curated by V. A. Mishin, senior fellow of the art Galleries of Europe and America XIX–XX centuries, curator of French drawings of the XVI–XX centuries.
