the Exhibition is notable for the fact that it shows the Aivazovsky's painting "Morning in Venice", which is not exhibited for over 50 years. Many years ago the paint on this picture began to crumble. According to the information channel "Culture", the restoration was very complicated, was a failed attempt, but finally Irkutsk restorer Galina Muravieva managed to cope with this task. Work it took more than a decade, but the result impressed both specialists and spectators.

in Addition to the ten works of Aivazovsky, the exhibition features mainly paintings on the marine theme of contemporary masters: Maxim Vorobiev, Lev Lagorio, Rufina Sudkovsky, Alexey Bogolyubov, Mikhail Klodt, Sergei Vasilkovsky. The organizers report that for the first time the audience is shown the work of Alexander Mordvinov, Anton Ivanov and Vasily Piskunov. In addition to paintings, the exhibition included models of ships created by modelers Irkutsk. The entrance to the exhibition — is free.
