On the poster exhibition — epigraph "Three artists. Three of the world. Three fates". And just want to argue. Fathers žilina and K. Obrosova shot in 1937, father Rabin died in the early 1930-х. They're almost the same age, growing into war, growing up during the second wave of Stalinist repression: the starting conditions in life are about the same. Why three worlds? The world for all three was unanimous in its ruthlessness and unpredictability.

And then — Yes, fate has in-разному. Žilina and overgrown was held and achieved well-deserved success in the system of official art of the Soviet regime, their paintings during his life included in the exposition of the main museums of the USSR. Both have repeatedly become laureates of state prize, have received the honorary title, and in adulthood he held senior positions in the Academy of arts. Žilina rightfully ranks among the main figures of socialist realism, his philosophical-романтического wing. Overgrown — figure of the Soviet "severe style".

Rabin, on the contrary, was destined to become the artistic leader of the resistance, a nonconformist, one of the main figures of the informal art, the Central figure of the "Lianozovsky group" and organizer of the "Bulldozer exhibition". Rabin is not planted, the yard was already of the Brezhnev era. Instead, the artist kicked out of the USSR in 1977 and was soon stripped of his Soviet citizenship by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council. In the USSR artist Rabin was forced to settle for "impressions" in a barrack in Lianozovo and clandestine apartment exhibitions. The most active part of Russian life, the artist lived in France, without any contact with spiritually close to the Russian audience. In fact, our audience was able to appreciate his work almost exclusively in the early 1990-х, after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

What is common to all three, except for age, country of birth and profession — question for me. At least until visiting the exhibition. Probably, for such incredulous organizers (the State Museum-выставочный center "ROSIZO", the Foundation of the development of modern art) and curator Peter rams have already spread all over the shelves.
