In the Centre behalf Grabar will show 19 works of Nicolai Fechin: the three paintings and 16 drawings, collected in five regional museums and one private collection, Moscow

the work of the curators of the exhibition "Nicolai Fechin: the Paintings and drawings of the Russian period after the restoration of the Centre behalf Grabar" Olga Camerino and member of Savinkina provided the State Museum of fine arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kozmodemyansk cultural-исторический Museum complex, the Samara regional art Museum, Chuvash state art Museum, Ulyanovsk regional art Museum and Galeev Gallery.

Besides that all works of the exhibition belong to the Russian period of the artist (Feshin few years after the revolution emigrated to the USA), they have in common is that in 2015-2017 all of them have been restored in the Grabar Center. So the exhibition will show not only the result of the restoration, but also documented stages of the work.

In 1900-е years, Fechin studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of arts in the Studio of Ilya Repin. Latest exchange rates to the own style of the artist fully formed, as evidenced by written in 1909 thesis — huge painting, "Cabbage" (Science-исследовательский Museum of the Academy of arts, St-Петербург). A few gouache sketches for it, revealing the process of forming the plan, presented at the exhibition. After graduating from the Academy of fine arts and the pensioner's trip to Europe, Fechin returned to Kazan. In this period portrait of — paintings and graphic — has occupied the main place in his work. Unfortunately, there are very few graphic works of the Kazan period of-за fire broke out at the Kazan art school in late 1917 or early 1918. One of the surviving works — "portrait of a woman (Sidorchenko)" (Samara regional art Museum) — will be presented in the exhibition.
