the Family occupied one of the main places in the system of values of inhabitants of the Netherlands. The house was important not only for individual citizens but for the entire state. It was believed that the welfare of urban households directly indicates the welfare of the country. In his paintings of prominent painters managed to convey the particular atmosphere that reigned in the Dutch houses, plunging into which the viewer can experience the authenticity of a frozen moment from the past. Interiors are an important part of the story on these canvases. Despite the apparent similarity in the composition, each work demonstrates a strong artistic personality of its author. Poetic narrative, and at times incredible and the care with which artists have portrayed the smallest details of decoration, often inscribed in idealized space, allow you to see all the variety of items burgher houses created from different materials — wood, stone, porcelain, glass, metal, fabric, leather and many others. Works of art, furniture, dishes, carpets, possessed by a wealthy Dutch family, was not only craftsmanship, but also functionality. These were the things produced in the country, and unique products brought from different corners of the world.
the exhibited objects of decorative-прикладного of art demonstrate the variety of elements of household in the burgher houses, these items are often flaunted, the owners proud. Cup-наутилус from the Armoury chamber of the Moscow Kremlin reflects the interest in collecting shells and minerals, a glass of-флейта from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum reminds of extensive international business ties, flower vase by the famous Delft workshops from the collection of the State Museum of ceramics and "Kuskovo XVIII century" indicates a passion for the cultivation of flowers.
