The exhibition project "To the benefit and glory of Russia", which will open in the state on 1 October, will present works from private collections and collections of the Historical Museum

the Exhibition is dedicated to the XIX century — Golden age of Russian culture and the heyday of Russian officers. The army at that time acquires a special status in the Russian Empire, and on qualitatively new level military education system. The officers at that time were the elite of society. They saw not only defenders, but also the guardians of the spiritual foundations of the state.

the Officer environment at this time creates outstanding strategists and commanders, as required by a busy military life. But surprising that at the same time from the same environment leaves a huge number of bright cultural figures: artists, composers, poets. the exhibition presents works from private collections of famous Moscow collectors — A. G. Egorov, and K. V. Juraskova, as well as from the collections of the State historical Museum.

the Collection of AG Egorova presented at the exhibition a number of unique exhibits. This is primarily a collection of sketches of tray regimental gifts of the sculptor Nikolai Ivanovich Liberiha — Colonel of the Imperial guard and academician of the Imperial Academy of arts. Among the officers in a festive and especially memorable cases was made the presentation of silver and bronze custom made in a single copy. N. I. Liberia was the founder of the genre of tray regimental gift and had many disciples and followers.

Watercolor "the Feat Grenadier Leib-гвардии Finland regiment Leonty Indigenous in the battle of Leipzig in 1813, created P. I. Babayev in 1846, tells the story of one of the most vibrant and storied feats in the history of Russian wars. Presented — sketch of the same picture, stored in the Russian Museum.

the State historical Museum presented the death mask and complete set of molds for medallions to commemorate the victory in the Patriotic war of 1812, made a naval Lieutenant, Vice-президентом the Imperial Academy of arts F. P. Tolstoy.
