In the Central House of artists on Krymsky Val opened the exhibition-sale of works of E. A. Lanceray (1848-1886) from the collection of antique galleries and auction house "KABINET".

Evgeny Alexandrovich Lanceray (1848-1886) — the most famous master Cabinet bronze in Russia. Working almost exclusively within the sculpture of small forms, he created a "wonderful, brimming with enthusiasm, sometimes with dramatic scenes", which enjoyed great popularity in Russia and beyond rubezhom@

His works have been repeatedly observed not only at exhibitions of the Academy of arts, but also at the World exhibitions in Paris, London, Philadelphia. During the life of a sculptor, a large number of imitators, attracted by the fame master@

No different excellent health, Lancer was fantastically hard-working. In his extensive legacy is the war stories, Asian, African and Caucasian subjects, hunting scenes, scenes of peasant life, historical images. For direct observation of the lives and styles of the different tribes and peoples, the artist has made repeated trips to the Crimea, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Bashkortostan, visited Algire@

In the exhibition — more than 30 sculptures created in different years of life and representing the artist's work in a variety of intonations and subjects: scale "Herd of Kabardian horses" heroic "Skobelev", elegant "Athlete," historical "Oprichnik" militant "Cherkes on the art of riding", exotic "Afghan" and "Mongol", a documentary-accurate "Return from the hunt", full of lyricism "Two mothers" and "Meeting in the wilderness."
