Center for contemporary culture "Garage", an exhibition of "Performance in Russia: the history of cartography", dedicated to the history of Russian performance art with avant-garde to the present day. Curators: Yulia Aksenova (curator of the Museum of "Garage") and Sasha Obukhova (head of the research Department of the Museum "Garage").

Exhibition at the Garage — the first major study of a century-long history and unique traditions of performance art in Russia, from the early futuristic experiments to radical actions of the present. The project emphasizes the important role of the Russian performance in the development of the world culture.

the Exhibition is arranged in chronological order, where one historical period follows the other. Each decade, each epoch — its a feature present in the Museum of unique architectural design. The format of the exhibition and its presentation to the viewer assume the use of new technologies and the creation of such a space inside the exhibition that every viewer could become a member of and the author's own performance in the selection process of thematic route through the exhibition. Along with the main route, the curators of the project will offer several alternative scenarios explore the exhibition with the help of modern multimedia technologies.
