In the Moscow Museum of modern art exhibition "Islands Yuri Sobolev," which continues the series of exhibitions dedicated to the history of Russian contemporary art in the second half of the twentieth century. Experiments in the field of new media, occurred simultaneously with the development of its own plastic language. In the period of work in journals such as "Decorative art" and "Knowledge — force" Yuri Sobolev, one of the first in the USSR began to use modular grid — Western design new, structurally organizing space magazine strip.
