Today at the Museum of Moscow opened an exhibition "Other capital", dedicated to contemporary art of St. Petersburg. The first project of this scale: in one exhibition presents works 68 contemporary artists from the Northern capital. On-site Food warehouses in size in 2000 square meters has a recognizable atmosphere of the city on the Neva river with its unique architecture and dozens of art masterski.

the exhibition "Other capital" includes the work of the brightest representatives of different tendencies in the visual arts of St. Petersburg - painting party "Mitka" Vladimir shinkareva, video installations Marina Alexeeva and Olga Tobreluts, embroidery Tatiana artist's. Installation Vladimir Kozin of the art group "Parasite" give visitors the opportunity to experience feelings of birds, a media object from a round mirrors Elena Gubanova recreates Danae Rembrandt, video installations Alena Tereshko you can listen to the toasts and declarations of love from the artist, and on the huge paintings drawn with a ballpoint pen, Vlad Kulkov demonstrates their understanding of technology "automatic risunki".

More years of work for the exhibition were selected by the curators of the two cities - Eugenia Kikodze (Museum of Moscow) and Olesya Turkina (Department of contemporary art at the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg). The dialogue between the two capitals will continue a course of lectures St. Petersburg critics, art historians and artists, which will be held in the Museum of Moscow in parallel with vystavki.
