Album N. C. Goncharova "War" is one of the first art works, dedicated to the First world war, and perhaps one of the most significant. The artist, carrying on the traditions of world art (F. Goya's "disasters of war"), does not illustrate a specific military events, and shows war as the Apocalypse, a world catastrophe. The cycle has a second, more accurate title: "Mystical images of war".
