In Collector's Art gallery of DiDi ( St. Petersburg) an exhibition of nonconformist artists group " Alipio ". The exhibition features works by major players association , for more than thirty years, these works are in private collections in St. Petersburg for the first time and will be shown to the audience .
In 1974, a group of artist friends learned of his father Alipio ( in IM world Voronov ) - abbot of the Pskov- Caves Monastery , which was a major collector of Russian art, as well as supporting young freethinking artists. Many famous nonconformists visited the monastery , Archimandrite admired the collection and led discussions with him in confidence , it was rumored that he helped Mikhail Mikhail Shemyakin to go abroad . Father Alipio made a strong impression on a group of artists who have decided to call their union in his honor and uphold the spiritual and religious principle in the arts, in spite of the country's dominant aesthetic of socialist realism .

Today, much has been done to study the era. But , unfortunately, on the periphery of research interest is still a number of significant events. Among them - the creative community of unofficial artists of the mid -1970s - early 1980s , the so-called "second wave" of non-conformism .
this original phenomenon was a group of " Alipio " that existed in 1975 to 1983. The exhibition and catalog it reflects the creativity of the participants association - Alena , Vika , Sergey Sergeyev , Vladimir Skrodenis , Viktor Trofimov - in the years of its existence. We set out to reconstruct the association " Alipio " to submit it as a complete artistic phenomenon who has made a unique contribution to the development of unofficial art in Leningrad .

" The main message of association - the defense of the rights to freedom of artistic vision , the formation of individual style , not imposed by the socialist dogma , but arises from the internal needs of the creator. Like other informal associations that time - "Chronicle " ( Boris Koshelokhov , Timur Timur Petrovich Novikov , Elena Figurina , etc. ), " Inaki » ( Sergei Kowalski , Viktor Bogorad , etc.) - a group of" Alipio " had its own unique artistic style. It manifested itself in a passion for medieval religious art, modernity and Chinese calligraphy. Some of the participants studied the techniques of the old masters , others - turned to the " immortal " subjects and topics ( "Annunciation ", " Pieta ", " Bread and Wine" ) , following the "principle of common traits ," borrowed from the ancient treatises on Chinese art or flowing lines of art Nouveau .
project gallery DiDi does not claim to detailed examination and analysis of art group " Alipio ". But we hope that it will contribute to the revival of interest in the work of the organization, and will help to define its meaning in the context of the recent history of our city .
