Alexander Roitburd: "Universal Macronectes"
October 8, 2013 in the Art gallery "K35" exhibition by Ukrainian artist Alexander Roitburd. The exposition is about 20 paintings created over the past five years
Exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian artist Alexander Roitburd "Universal Macronectes" will be held in the capital's Art-галерее "K35" from 9 October to 10 November 2013. The exposition will include about 20 of the large-scale canvases of the master, created over the past five let@
Painting Roitburd always recognizable. She was always inherent in the density and materiality, heavy throbbing texture, sculpted thin plastic and coloristic orchestration. In his work he often builds a multidimensional staging, connect the unconnected, "In "operating Roitburd" (©M. Rakowicki) fantasy mixed with reality, the trash with classics, rarities, with fakes, the nonsense with the hallucination, the kitsch with the phantoms of the subconscious, and from each joint of the treacherously "ears stick out" amazing computer program "photoshop", which greatly facilitated the artists of their hard work".
In his new project the artist with the enthusiasm of a naturalist explores the relationship of two worlds: the world of a man who calls himself the "king of nature", and the insect world — considerably older and many orders of magnitude superior people in number. Actually people are not even aware of how many insects around him. On one hectare of land can be up to 10 millionof@
"Macronectes" Roitburd immerses the viewer into the space of total phantasmagoria, staging-декларативной, bodily, expressive and decadent. "I wanted to create a-то very Jewish phantasmagoria. Not nostalgic upside down world of Chagall place, but restless closed reality, filled with pervasive insanity, phobias, and perversions, as Bruno Schulz. To show a dream about her, what-то painful, absurd tragedy without plot, with channeled time, hallucination, in the spirit of Kafka, — writes the artist himself. — I imagined their characters in a shallow space (a consequence of agoraphobia), on the background of the scenery, and conventional back. Functionally, this surgical table, ready to meet umbrella with a sewing machine. As such chaotic levitated out of the subconscious random objects — cloisonne vase (for me strongly associated with children's visual experiences, treasure concealed in the heavy buffets), menorah (requires comment), copulating insects (speaking of Kafka)... All scales and proportions as hopelessly broken as spatial-временные or plot-логические connection. The density and saturation of the texture in than-то correlate with the richness of the Baroque prose of Babel, where the experience itself is endowed with a painful physicality (“About Brody! Mummy your passions crushed breathed on me nepreoborimoe poison")"...
Insects, as haunting phantoms, accompany, and sometimes persecuted people in everyday situations. And yet the main area of interest Roitburd not insects, and human emotions. Clash of insect breeds in the human psyche unconscious feelings of danger, rejection, fear. This is @ & mdash; the so-called entomophobia. Alexander Raiburg calls himself an entomophilous plant — curator and patron Saint of the inhabitants of one of the most mysterious sphere of the material world. In General, the author examines all the current reality through the prism methodology eminent French entomologist Jean Fabre, which scientist used in the creation of his seminal work "the Life of insects", strongly emphasizing the complete absence of differences, and especially the boundaries between existential facets of the "human" characters and their "insectarium" incarnations. Starting from the name dabrowskiego work, the artist creates a new epic-галлюцинацию, let's call it "Life of insects".
Scenic loop Roitburd confirms the idea of the wholeness of the universe as the eternal home of the people, things, animals, insects, never-ending mystery of their transmutations, transformations and pererozhdeny@
