Sergei Shutov (1955, Potsdam) - painter, graphic artist, author of objects and installations, video artist. Since the mid-1970s to the early 1980's he worked as a loader and a laboratory assistant at the Museum of the East, the State Museum of Fine Arts. AS Pushkin, the zoo, and has lectured at the Moscow Planetarium.

In 1978 he joined the Moscow City Committee of the charts. Since 1987 - member of the "Hermitage", one of the first alternative art groups in Moscow and Leningrad "Club of Friends of Mayakovsky." He became the first academician of the "New Academy sorts of arts" (Moscow - Leningrad). In 2001 he represented Russia at the 49th Venice Biennale (installation "Abacus"). In 2002 he was nominated for the State Prize of Russia. Lives and works in Moscow.
