In the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow /Moscow House of Photography Exhibition "Stalingrad", organized with the assistance of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Federal Archives (Bundesarchiv).
MAMM shows a large-scale project on the end of the longest (from July 1942 to February 1943) and the bloodiest battle in the history of the Second World War. For Russia the Battle of Stalingrad - the greatest victory for Germany - the greatest defeat. For the world - a turning point in the war. Statistics from the unnaturalness and the nightmare of the massacre terrible cruelty and despair, the strength of the spirit of people, participants of the battle, strikes and delights.
exhibition is created on materials of photographic archives war correspondent, who rented the battle, - Arcadia Shaikhet , Yevzerikhin , George Lipskerova , Dmitry Baltermantz , Ryumkin . All of them - the classics of Russian photography. Also on display included a short film of Savva Kulish and Charalambos Stoytcheva "Last Letters" (1966), based on the writings of the German soldiers who took part in the battle. Literary maintenance of the entire project - excerpts from novels Grossman's "Life and Fate" and Nekrasov "In the Trenches of Stalingrad».
MAMM At the invitation of the project involves German archives and museums that have submitted their photos to show the audience the most tragic Event World through the eyes of the opposing sides.
