New exhibition from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery replaces the exhibition "The joy of work and life happiness. The ideals of a bygone era "and presenting the second part series on the sculpture in 1930-60-ies of XX century. It reflects yet another facet of the Soviet era, away from the ideology of pathos labor heroism and public service - a world of privacy.

If the exhibition "The joy of work and happiness of life" presents to the viewer monumental portraits of the heroes of modern times in the classic iconography of the Soviet era, for this exhibition is mainly characterized chamber works, in which the sculptor displays subtle human emotions.

The exhibition presents about 25 works, some of which are exhibited for the first time. This variety of forms and types of profile: Chamber and smart, round sculpture, relief, statue.

One of the most significant works - the marble group N. B. Krandievskaya «Father and Son" (1922), a rare type of double portrait - it was bought by museums not so long ago and it is not public.

official portrait sculpture presented IG Frikh-Hara "Pioneer-Gal A student" (1949, marble). Master depicted his daughter a book. The product made specifically for the All-Union Exhibition of 1949. Ideologically, the painted image is reminiscent of the many statues of pioneers, who stood in the Soviet parks.
