SOVCOM The gallery opened an exhibition of Soviet genre paintings. This subject has always been important, but in recent years interest in painting in 1950 and 80 years is growing rapidly. New exhibition galleries devoted SOVCOM Soviet art of the second half of the twentieth century. The monumental canvas, easel painting and graphics to fully give an idea of ​​all the currents and the tradition of realist art in the Soviet Union.

The exhibition features more than 100 works, mostly well-known names - The brothers , M. Konchalovsky , D. A. Nalbandian , I. P. Obrosov , P. P. Ossowski , G. K. Savitsky , etc.

However, the organizers have tried to reflect on display works of former Soviet republics. The most extensive section of painting, created in Uzbekistan by local artists and those who visited the republic in the creative business trips, in the exhibition - the work VB Manokhina, AP P. Block , RG Dmitriev, L. Katz, B. F. Vasina , C. A. Tutunova . Many of the works in this section - the original findings, the museum level. A large part of the works provided from private collections and the heirs of the authors and have never before been exhibited.

Few exhibition themes (except for very very formal) that can easily and of course in the same room together the works of artists of the Russian academic school and nonconformist artists. The exhibition "The Soviet conversation piece" in the gallery SOVCOM allows for a fresh look at the whole artistic life of the country in the second half of the last century and the works of some of its members - such a diverse group.
