Local residents conquer their openness and proximity to foreigners. From the outset, attracted the opportunity to see the result - Ocean through the lens of the camera, not only their own, but my colleagues and 20 ».

Changing lighting, landscapes, people, and the rest - pure instinct, the hunting instinct ».

Mikhail Dashevsky : «In my approximate zero Chinese and English, I was not looking for contacts, relying only on visual impressions, as well as during the photo session in Moscow. I - street photographer, and my eyes, the face, the situation speak louder than any rhetoric. In this case, I can pass the psychology of life, but for me it is - most importantly fun photos ».

Strange way to the ocean, trees, wrapped in blue, the ship in the desert ... I yell to the driver, "Stop!" My guide says that you can not shoot - private property. Suitable guard, the guide explains, they say, a photographer from Moscow. Surprise and a handshake - no problem. I was always amazed that people did not provoke any disturbance or dissatisfaction with the fact that I shoot them ».

Boris Register : «I always try to stick to the rule: the main thing in the picture - a man. Therefore, the "American project" conceptually related to my previous series. Sergei Maximishin : «I was filming the story of the ship" pinisi "- a traditional wooden, two-masted sailing once, but now, alas, a motor boat. For 400 years, ever since people first saw the tribe Gongju European galleon, in the village of Tana Bera in the southern part of the island of Sulawesi make these wooden ships. Do without any papers and drawings. To a certain extent, people are Gongju ships pinisi as a shrine, so they do not understand the court on fuel and allow them to quietly (and eco-friendly!) Die. Respectively, and the story turned out about the life and death of the boat pinisi ».

It is home to over 2500 people, equipped living spaces in mausoleums and tombs. Octogenarian woman told me that the cemetery was born, grew up, met her love and even raising children. She made a living for many years caring for the graves. Finally she happily reported that she intends to spend the rest of days here ... As always, I wanted to show the real lives of real people. And I think that, as in his other projects, I was first of all being honest with myself ».
