Today in "Galeev Gallery" presents "Robert Falk (1886-1958). Painting and Graphics "presents works from the collection of the Pushkin Museum of Tatarstan and Moscow private collections.

Robert Falk belongs to the galaxy of artists, without which it is hard to imagine the history of Russian art of the twentieth century. Meanwhile, attempts to fully present his work in more recent years, not so much. Some of the exhibitions shown in Moscow (at Begovaya, in the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin) and in other cities (Yerevan, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Tallinn, Donetsk) was held after the death of the artist - in the late 1960s - 1970. It was then that the efforts of the widow and the guardian of the archive of the artist Angelina Vasil'yevna Shchekin-Krotova creativity Falk was able to break out of the "underground" - apartment exhibitions and home shows, which were born and grew future unofficial art in Russia. It so happened that Falk, without knowing it, "wake" of many artists, including masters and future postottepelnoy pores, his speech quietly, deep contemplation and mysterious appeal of his paintings.

The value of the exhibition organized by AV Shchekin-Krotova, great. They allowed Falk art transcend "Garden Ring", his work - while signed only for a medium Moscow intellectuals - has ceased to be Terra Incognita and became the country's cultural heritage.

This exhibition in "Galeev Gallery" - a long overdue necessity. Its implementation will require great concentration. Falk's art - a complex phenomenon that includes not only the traces of his great predecessors, it is full of various allusions: literary, musical, philosophical. Over time, Falkowski images undergo metamorphosis, we hear the intonation, which in our changing world with a different accent sounds, they are surprisingly modern to our present consciousness. Unchanged only the language Falk - rich flavor nuances, music, recognizable lines of his drawings.

The exhibition of discovery: oil paintings are of Moscow private collections, many of them never left the apartment their owners. Graphic section of the exhibition brought from Kazan - Pushkin Museum of Tatarstan, which, thanks to the support of A. Shchekin-Krotova became the owner of one of the most important collections of Falk and qualitatively and quantitatively. These works will be shown for the first time Moscow audience.

The exhibition is timed presentation of the album "Falk. Works on Paper, "which was first published many works by the artist from the Museum of Russian cities (Sakhalin, Tula, Penza, Volgograd, Kazan, Istria), and Germany (Dresden).
