August 27 at the State Literary Museum Gallery "GOST" opens an exhibition of Viktor Nikolaevich Vakidina (1911-1991) "Old Moscow and other things ..." Opening day will start at 18.00.

It introduces the viewer to the work of a gifted graphic Easel, masters of art books, student, friend and colleague B. Favorsky , one of the founders of the severe style graphics, Victor Vakidina (1911-1991). The exhibition for the first time after long neglect of his graphic works are 1930's and 80's, including the poignant images of unexpected places and buildings of old Moscow, separate samples of portrait and still life drawings, engravings for book and magazine illustrations.

Victor Vakidin belongs to a generation later vhutemasovtsev. He studied at the Leningrad Vhuteine, in 1930, transferred to the Moscow Printing Institute, and in 1935 graduated from the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts as an artist book. At first he worked in the brigade monumentalist B.
