Today in Multimedia Art Museum opens first solo exhibition of young artist's Oleg Dou , organized within the framework of the parallel program III Moscow International Biennale for Young Art.
Oleg Dou (b. 1983) - one of the the most prominent representatives of contemporary Russian photography in the world art scene. In 2007 he was named "Photographer of the Year in a special category" in the prestigious award International Photography Awards. In 2009 won the Arte Laguna Art Prize as "Best Young Photographer." Today the work of Oleg Dou represent the leading galleries in France, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Russia and America. In 2011 the company incorporated Artprice artist of the three authors under the age of 30 years, whose work most successfully sold at auction.
in artistic practice by Oleg Dou reflect its relationship with photography as a phenomenon of life. Surviving her childhood memories of the fear of staged photography, as adults, he uses this experience in the art as therapy. At the same time he becomes those who are always afraid.

project "Alien face" tells the personal story of the author, which became the basis for his creative method. The protagonist of the series, having experienced abuse in childhood, becomes a psychological dependence, projecting his injury to other people. A series of books inspired by Japanese writer Kobo Abe's "Face the other." The plot - the transplantation of an artificial appearance of another person, who later acquires the power of the mind and will of the protagonist. The series consists of a number of large-and small portraits, whose faces are covered with paper and drawings, and sculptural works.
the age of 13, Oleg began to take the first manipulation of digital images using Photoshop by changing the image friends and relatives. Subsequently, the crystallized personal recognizable style of the artist: large-scale portraits of children and adults with plasticized, almost doll-like faces, devoid of human emotions and flaws resemble specimens of Korean contemporary art. In April 2012 the work of Oleg Dou graced the cover version of Photoshop CS6.
